I graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in 1992 with an honours degree in Graphic Design and a post grad diploma in Calligraphy.
I live near Strathaven with my husband, dogs, horses and hens. My passion is horses – beautiful creatures, intelligent and imposing. Whether it’s a pure thoroughbred or a cob, I’m intrigued by their movement, balance and athleticism.
I’m drawn towards linear, sleek animals – greyhounds and whippets appeal – elegant creatures, quiet dispositions with a dusting of laziness. Their dislike of puddles and preference for a warm seat by the fire, and then in sharp contrast, their amazing speed across a field.
I enjoy painting a great variety of animals and birds and try to capture their individuality … have a browse through the galleries and enjoy.
